    Book's I would buy in a hearbeat.

no-one is more of an authority on nmap than Fyodor.

His book on nmap is simply outstanding, this book seriously surpassed my expectations, if you are at all intrested in Nmap, get this book.

two books I also love to have next to me are
    Unix Administration Handbook
    and
    Linux Administration handbook.
both of these are by Evi Nemeth, the ones with the crazy picture on the cover.

I have to agree, the NMAP book is absolutely superb, the detail it goes into is incredible.

        On the Fyodor book.

I concur Fyodor, is by far the most authoritative and going to his class on Nmap and NSE at Sharkfest '10 was one of the most fun I have set in.

I do want to point out after reading the book, most of (50+%) of the content can be found on the website. For those without disposable incomes.

Great book though and should definitely be on your bookshelf if you get paid to use nmap.

It's like 75% is posted on the website. There's 2, arguably 3 chapters you must buy the book for that pertains heavily to what we do.

I know what he means, I'm just being subtle... the book might have never been scanned as there doesn't seem to be any ebook form available to "buy"...
